Missão Batista do Pelourinho has been developing, during almost 15 years, a work of incredible value for the kingdom of God and to Salvador City, reaching many Brazilian cities with both spiritual and social benefit.
From the point of view of our Beloved and Master Jesus, the social and spiritual work should reach the neighbor, in other words, the one who we get near to or get near to us, in situation of need, independent of race, nationality or any distinction.
We’ve wanted to obey the Lord through the years, with love and mercy for people in need.
We are opened to suggestions to the improve of our work, this way, our “family” Missão Pelourinho has been trying with determination to accomplish among us the Word “GO, AND DO THOU LIKEWISE” (From the good Samaritan parable) and “ GIVE YE THEM TO EAT” (Breads multiplication).
May the Lord continue to bless us and helping us to accomplish the commands of our Beloved Master not in words, but in works and in truth among us.

Missão Pelourinho works rescuing lives from marginal situation, giving citizenship to those who rove without option of life.
First obeying Jesus’ commandment, the first to start the Campaign FOME ZERO (Zero hunger – brazil’s national campaign to end hunger in our nation), like it’s written in Luke 9:13 “Give ye them to eat”. The same writer of Luke began the book of Acts affirming that Jesus didn’t command only, he did it himself.
Luke wrote in Act 1:1 that Jesus started (we should continue) not only to do, but also to teach. To talk is easy, but important is to act. Missão Pelourinho is acting. It gives the food (bread) to the stomach to the ones who live “under the bridge” without home and without options in life.

The Kingdom’s Fusiliers

Every time in touch with Missão Batista do Pelourinho and the Pr. Aurizer I think of them as the Nave Fusiliers of God in Salvador City. I think this way, because the fusiliers are a special group very well trained which develops vanguard and courageous activities. They, for example, are the ones who suddenly take a beach to do the called “head of bridge”, facing the enemy face-to-face under fire. This is the bold operation that allows the advance of others detachments in that territory conquering.

I’m sure that, in spiritual plan, that’s what the Missão has done in this city. They are in the most difficult place accomplishing the most difficult task. Pelourinho is not only a name, but the mark of a reality that influences the life of the third larger city of the fifth lager country of the world. In spite of the government efforts giving a touristic front attractive to that region, its backstage speak of degradation and men slavery before sin and there is a crying in the air for the true freedom offered for the One that lend His own name to this city: Salvador ( Savior) Jesus.

When Pelourinho meet the dominion of Jesus, the whole Salvador will bow down at the feet of the One that is the Desired of the Nations. Because of that, this mission is strategic. Through the Mission we noticed that the Lord concedes special missions to simple people. The participants of the Mission have learned to sublime way of simplicity and because of this received so noble task. In fact, the mission is a prophetic remembrance that the Lord of church wants to give to all of its member’s tasks like this, so special. Sometimes we are out of simplicity. This way the Missão Pelourinho besides working to accomplish the mission of the church, calls all the Church its missions in every area from bread to the Word.
